Bookings for events can be secured over the phone or on-line by debit/credit card, or by cash or debit card at the track. Payment can be made by cheque in full at least 14 days prior to the event.

A deposit of £10 per Driver is required at time of booking the balance of the booking  can be paid on the day unless you are paying by cheque in which case full payment for the event must be received at least 14 days prior to the event.

For larger Bookings over 8 people you will need to pay a deposit of £10 per driver will secure your booking and  the full balance must be paid at least a week before the event.

If you are booking within a few days of the event a deposit of £10 per driver will secure your booking and the balance can be paid on the day.

Deposit payments are non-transferable and non-refundable.

We will need the name and contact details of the person making the booking. If the booking is being paid for over the phone the cardholder must be present on the day of the event. We also need the number in your party and their ages.

Don’t worry! Nottingham Raceway Karting events are ideal for novices as well as experienced racers, and our circuit provides a full safety and instruction briefing before you start.

More than 150,000 people have raced at Nottingham Raceway’s Karting circuit, and most of them had never been karting before!

We are open 7 days a week and only close for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Office is open at 9am, Track opens for drivers at 10am. We close when the last booking has gone.

We have free on-site parking for plenty of cars.

For an exclusive event (where the track is just for your group) you will need at least 10 drivers. For an open event (where you race against other groups of drivers) you can bring as many or as few drivers as you like.

Please arrive 30 min’s before your actual race time.

You must not be pregnant or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The maximum weight is 20 stone.

Juniors Must be over 8 years of age and at least 1.25mtrs Tall

Bookings are transferable at the discretion of the Circuit but are non-refundable.

Bookings cannot be refunded, re-booked or re-used for drivers who fail to attend.

For insurance reasons, drivers arriving after the safety briefing has commenced are not allowed to race and will not receive any refund.

Where an event is delayed due to late arrivals, the Circuit’s management may in their sole discretion and on request of all of the organisers delay the safety briefing. In such case, the event will be shortened to make up for the time lost.

Race fees will not be refunded to any driver because that driver fails to attend or is withdrawn from racing for any reason.

We require 48 hours notice if you wish to change a booking slot or cancel and we will endeavour to fit you in elsewhere but this is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.

Booking’s may be transferred to other drivers, but all payments are non-refundable.

The Organiser is liable for the full race fees for the use of the Circuit for number of drivers booked, even if fewer drivers attend.

Just casual wear with trainer style shoes. We supply all safety clothing, helmet, gloves, and race suit. For Health and Hygiene reasons all drivers using our helmets must wear a Balaclava If you have a balaclava bring it with you or you can buy one at reception for £2.00

All children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

No BUT We strongly advise pre-booking to guarantee a session and to avoid disappointment.

We service and test our karts every day. However, karting by its very nature is a risky activity and at your own risk.

Here at Nottingham Raceway our number one priority is the safety of everyone on site. Our karts and circuit are maintained to a high standard and are regularly inspected by the National Karting Association and indeed the Environmental Health inspector.

We provide all necessary safety wear and give comprehensive safety briefings. Listening to the safety briefing and heeding the instructions is the part you play in keeping the event safe and enjoyable.

However, as with all activities, unavoidable accidents can happen even in the best regulated events.

Our karts are fitted with slick tyres at all times, regardless of weather conditions.

We require a non-refundable deposit of £10 per person. We ask for an approximate number of drivers taking part when booking but you can add drivers to the booking up to the maximum number at any time.

Track drive experiences / practice session can be as short as 15 minutes. A sprint race for 20 drivers can take about 2 hours to run. For larger numbers it is approximately one hour for every 10 drivers.

Always – we need you to listen attentively to our pre-race briefing. It is surprisingly easy and great fun provided you know the correct way to drive your kart.

The minimum age is 8 years and upwards, there is a height restriction of 1.25cm for our Junior karts,

The minimum age to use our Adult 270cc Karts is 14 (height restrictions may apply)

Track day experience / practice sessions are the most popular race formats for youth and school groups. Discounts are often offered for races during school or off peak hours.

Yes you can overtake. There is plenty of room on our circuit to encourage overtaking as well as fair and clean racing. Something you wont find at most indoor tracks.

The circuit is about 550m.

Yes. Our circuit has paddock areas which offer great views of the track, easy access to drinks machines and heated spectator buildings.

Yes you can. Helmets need to be full face. Moto-cross helmets require goggles and chin piece.

You get wet of course! But its great fun. You will be provided with wet weather suits. Hold on tight though because it gets very slippery.

When booking for a group the deposit is for the group size. If anyone drops out then the deposit is lost for that person.

The Italian Coffee Shop can provide for all your needs in this department but a word of advice: don’t eat heavily before your karting experience as you may regret it once you get on circuit. Improve your appetite by enjoying your karting first, followed by a good meal afterwards.

You should drink plenty of water, especially in the summer as it is very easy to dehydrate when karting. Work on about 250ml per 30 minutes of karting as a guide.

Yes! f you have you own race suit, gloves or boots you are welcome to wear these if you wish.

You may also wear your own Helmet, as long as it is a full face helmet, with fitted visor or goggles.

Don’t worry if you don’t have any of your own equipment, we provide everything you need to drive at the track.

Yes please, all drivers must wear a balaclava.
You are more than welcome to bring your own or purchase one at reception for £2.00.
